Senior Master Robin Johnson, who holds the rank
of 8th Dan, is the head instructor of the Sheridan Taekwon-Do
Club, located in Sheridan, Wyoming. He's a dedicated individual
who works tirelessly for the benefit of USTF affiliated clubs
here in the state. Here are a few words:
"I began my Taekwon-Do training
in Ogallala, Nebraska when I was 29; my instructor was Mr. Chuck
Beckus, III Dan. In 1985 I moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and within
1 month I joined Sheridan Taekwon-Do Club and the United States
Taekwon-Do Federation. I trained under Mr. Jerry Drews, I Dan
who moved away. Then Mr. David Lemons, II Dan. In 1994 Mr. Lemons
retired and I became Instructor of Sheridan Taekwon-Do Club.
Since then my instructor has been Grand Master Stan Martin, IX Dan
of Casper, Wyoming.
"I aim to teach Taekwon-Do in the
spirit of General Choi Hong-Hi, the founder of Taekwon-Do and
in accordance with the United States Taekwon-Do Federation.
In Wyoming I strive to keep a strong brotherhood and sisterhood
and I support the unification of Taekwon-Do schools to build
a solid block within the USTF.
"I value loyalty and dedication."

"Taekwon-Do is a lifelong
pursuit of improvement and refinement of technique and life. "
Sheridan is located in the northern part
of Wyoming, nestled in the Big Horn Mountain Range. Sr. Master Johnson's
club regularly hosts one of the quarterly testings each year,
and the mascot is zealously guarded by all his students!
Ms. DeeDee Connell

6th degree black belt.
Mrs. Connell began training
at Sheridan Taekwon-Do in 1997, having been a 'lobby mom' and
'lobby wife' for a couple of years. She began teaching
at In-Nae International Taekwon-Do in Buffalo in 2001, and taught
there until 2006. She also taught TaeKwon-Do at Sheridan College.
"Originally I
hoped to gain some fitness and flexibility, and learn something
new. TaeKwon-Do has given me so much more than that! It has
provided opportunities to travel and compete, both nationally
and internationally. In addition
to the excellent instruction we have right here in Sheridan,
I was fortunate enough to attend International Instructor
Seminars with General Choi in 1999 & 2002, and USTF Instructor
Courses, Referee Seminars,
Self-Defense Courses, World Camps and Black Belt Workshops. What we learn through TaeKwon-Do - mental strength as well as self defense techniques - applies to our lives outside the gym... that is a huge benefit of training."
"The
journey is the reward."

Mrs. Megan Garretson

2nd degree black belt.
“Through the mental and physical aspects of Taekwon-Do, I strive to teach your children self-discipline and self-confidence. The tenets that we adhere to – courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit – will guide us in class and through our daily lives. It is my hope that through these tenets, goal setting, practice of the fundamental movements of Taekwon-Do and the knowledge of the history, that their characters will be built in such a way to succeed in whatever their life brings as well as being a positive influence to others around them. The values brought through the practicing of this martial art are invaluable to many.”
